We've both noticed an uptick in MLM (Multi Level Marketing) activity on social media, especially among hairdressers. It's become impossible to ignore, and we felt it was high time to dive deep into this phenomenon.
We've all probably at some point received a DM from someone looking to sell their products or get us to become part of their team, but we're pulling back the curtain and exploring why MLMs are so popular.
Plus we shine a light on the darker side of MLMs, emphasising the tiny minority who actually make significant money. The majority earn little to nothing, with earnings disclaimers on MLM websites revealing a stark, triangular distribution of income. The structure is such that the real money comes from recruiting others, not from selling products. So are the products actually any good?
If you'd like to hear our thoughts, things we've seen happen and what other options there are for you, tune into this episode.
