What new-to-you authors have you recently discovered? I asked that question on social media the other day, and now I'm sharing those answers with you. I chose to focus on authors I haven't (yet) had on the podcast, hoping to highlight them and give them some much deserved recognition. Perhaps you recognize some of the names; perhaps others are ones you've never heard of before. Whatever the case, I hope you find another great author or two to read and follow. There are also quite a number of genres that are represented on today's show.
Dawn Crandall: She has a wonderful series called "The Overtone Chronicles", beginning with the book, The Reluctant Heiress. ""Romantic! Engaging and absorbing! Crandall brings America's Gilded Age to life on the page with vintage amour and emotional depth. Poetically written, Crandall's stories of faith and love will charm fans of classic literature and Christian fiction alike."
Get your copy of The Reluctant Heiress.
Jennifer Q. Hunt: She's out with a brand new book, Through Thorny Ways. With secrets dating back two generations, will Wisteria House unite or destroy an already-fractured family?
Get your copy of Through Thorny Ways.
Renee Ryan: A listener says, "Renee is one I have recently read and hardly ever see mentioned here. Her book, The Widows of Champagne, was excellent, one I thoroughly enjoyed. In addition, the audiobook was really well done." WWII fiction!
Get your copy of The Widows of Champange.
Get you copy of The Secret Society of Salsberg.
Preorder your copy of The Paris Housekeeper.
Kathleen L. Maher: A listener says this about her novella, Bachelor Buttons, "It was a wonderful read about redemption, cultural differences and a thread of romance based on one of her family members." Civil War fiction!
Get your copy of Bachelor Buttons.
Get your copy of the first book in the "Sons of Shenandoah Series", The Abolitionist's Daughter.
Cindy K. Sproles: "Blood might be thicker than water, but love trumps both in Cindy K. Sproles's touching novel." This Is Where It Ends is a unique Southern tale. Women's fiction.
Get your copy of This is Where It Ends.
Nerys Leigh: She writes books that are heart-warming, funny, exciting, and above all, wildly romantic. And she adores a blissfully happy ending. She’s British, but she suspects she might be slowly turning into an American while she writes her stories set in the Wild West filled with mail order brides and railroads and cowboys.
Check out her "Escape to the West" series.
