Introducing Debbie Yu, an intrepid young marine biologist who has dedicated her career to studying rare shark species, such as the megamouth and big-eyed sand tiger sharks. After completing her Ph.D., Debbie now works as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Taiwan Ocean University. Her hands-on experience in the field has also led her to collaborate with local fishing communities, bridging the gap between science and traditional knowledge to further shark conservation efforts. Equally skilled in navigating the linguistic challenges posed by her international projects in Taiwan and Japan, Debbie continues to make remarkable strides in expanding our understanding of these fascinating creatures.
