Welcome to Part 1 of our two part series with Andrew from Hilltop Hops Farm. These two episodes feature something you don’t normally see on ABV, and that’s Adsy without a beer in either episode! Anyway, hops don’t wait for anyone. They’re ready when they’re ready and that’s that. So when we organised to catch up with Andrew and chat about all things hops, we couldn’t miss the opportunity.

We were excited, the date was locked in, and then…

Unfortunately, Adsy had other ideas that almost derailed the entire podcast for weeks. Coming off an e-scooter and suffering 6 fractures in his face among other body parts, what could we do? The old adage, the show must go on prevailed, and Adsy was feeling good enough to turn up and have a chat. What follows was an exceptional two-part series due to having so much to talk about and Andrew being so engaging and forthright with information.

Adsy may be difficult to understand but he’s stoked that we didn’t put off chatting to Andrew. Huge thanks to both Andrew and Steve from Hilltop Hops Farm in Hemmant. We spent over 3 hours there chatting, walking around, smelling hops and more.

Personally from Adsy, he would like to massively thank Joel for his support and managing without Adsy able to do much with ABV for almost all of February. It’s not easy to be a single driver of what is a big part of both of our lives when there is a lot to do. It was much appreciated and we’re lucky we had enough content already filmed to not stress.
