When we asked Mitch from Padre Brewing if he wanted to be involved in our podcast, it wasn’t a case of if, it was a case of when. If you’ve ever spent time talking to Mitch about beer, his softly spoken demeaner belies a full-on passion for the beers that he enjoys and brews. We caught up with him at Ze Pickle in Burleigh Heads to drink some early morning beers.

Adsy and Mitch first met when Adsy was working at Helios and was running the inaugural Homebrew Hop’etition. Turns out, Mitch won that event with his lager that has turned into the lager in the Padre range. I guess it goes to show that not only can the man brew a good beer, but the public who voted his beer to the top also know a good beer when they taste one.
