Season 5 Podcast 114 Book of Revelation C 7, “Opening of the Seven Seals, C, White Robes.”

In the previous podcast entitled ‘The Great Earthquake,’ the angel opened the fifth seal which revealed the glorious fate of those who became martyrs for Christ. Also the opening of the sixth seal revealed the signs of the times. In this podcast we shall continue with the sixth seal.

Revelation 7:1

“And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.”

Our earth is very delicate. Scientists call it the ‘Goldilocks Zone’ for it is just right for life. We often hate wind particularly when it manifests itself as hurricanes or tornadoes or even tropical storms, but what would happen if the wind quit blowing? Life on earth would become intolerable. The equator would become impossibly hot and the poles impossibly cold and our water system would cease to operate. Fortunately, another angel appeared and commanded the angels to not hurt the earth.

Revelation 7: 2-3

“And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.”

Notice, however, that the four angels are merely delayed until the righteous are taken to heaven. Following that we may assume there will be major climate changes on the earth that exceeds the doomsayers of climate change today. The opening of the sixth seal is not about death. It is about eternal life. Notice the symbolic saving of the 144,000.

Revelation 7:4-8

4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.

6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.

8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

In the Bible the number 12 symbolizes the governing authority of Christ’s church. We have twelve tribes of Israel. We have twelve apostles. It also symbolizes completion or perfection. The number 144,000 is symbolic—twelve times twelve equals 144—and does not mean that the number sealed is limited. It means that all members of those tribes who are worthy will be sealed. Also, we know from the vision of the Apostle Peter that this includes all saints, Jew or Gentile, who believe in Christ who keep the commandments of God.

Acts 10:9-15

9 On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:

10 And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,

11 And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:

12 Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
