At the age of 28, Lisa was diagnosed with Crohns disease. Crohns is a very nasty and debilitating illness of the digestive system. Initially, the illness was brought under control with heavy-duty drugs. Not wanting to have to take medication long-term, Lisa had heard about people who had successfully managed their illnesses with health and nutrition changes. This seemed like an obvious path to explore.
After deep research and making changes, Lisa managed to come off all of her medication and manage the illness through a healthy lifestyle. Realising she could now help other sufferers, Lisa published her book 'The Meal Deal'.
Taking her studies further, Lisa became a National Board Certified Health and Wellness coach and completed a sleep, stress, and recovery certification.
Lisa talks about her journey back to health, her coaching tools and how she has conquered her self-confidence issues.
