If you're no stranger to the water crisis in Flint, Michigan, then you know that it's not just a case of water shortage but a supply of water that can kill. The Flint Michigan lead poisoning is a prime example of what happens when people consume water that contains dangerous levels of lead. What was supposed to be a solution to a water shortage turned out to be a deadly mistake. In a class action lawsuit, the state of Michigan was accused of failing to treat the water with an anti-corrosive agent, resulting in erosion of water mains and service lines that are made of lead. During the water crisis in Flint, Governor Rick Snyder was charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection to 12 people killed during a Legionnaire’s outbreak. While legionnaires disease is not caused by lead, the fact remains that the toxic chemical is dangerous to the body and health. People can die from lead poisoning. But with lead exposure completely preventable, someone's death due to overexposure is truly a waste of good life. Lead causes a lot of health problems.
