Manage episode 296227918 series 2895302
Today on Health in the Hole, we talk with Margaret Nelsen, a Personal Fitness Trainer and Adaptive And Inclusive Trainer here in Jackson Hole. We talk about body symmetry and how it applies in the gym and in daily life. We also discuss some common questions about weightlifting and cross-training for activities outside of your main sport or activity.
Born in Wayne, PA, Maggie pursued a post-graduate career in Leukemia clinical research at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. However, after dedicating 4 collegiate years as both a student-athlete and a student-athletic trainer, she missed working with athletes and felt the need to relocate towards a lifestyle that focused on movement and fitness. Maggie utilizes a combination of HIIT, agility work, proprioceptive techniques, cardiovascular conditioning, and strength training to help athletes move their bodies in new ways and become more resilient in everyday life and recreation in Jackson.
