Preacher was a great preacher and these are some of his sermons. He retired from the ministry in 1985, but he taught Sunday School for 25 years after that. He went into Heaven in May of 2016 at the age of 93. In his last years on earth, as a “shut in,” he spent a couple hours every afternoon “with the Lord.” He said to me more than once, “I’ve discovered that ‘Only Jesus, Only Jesus.’” I pray his sermons inspire you to love the Lord more and more until you come to know that “Only Jesus.”

It’s no secret that many Christians feel disoriented when it comes to understanding the relationship between faith and politics. Much of this confusion comes from the fact that we’ve adopted a modern conception of freedom. To the modern mind freedom refers to the ability to do whatever you want, but what if that assumption is wrong? What if Christi…

In his closing chapter…
