🎙️ Your Catholic Corner podcast is back with another insightful episode!
Julie South dives into the spiritual messages found in the Books of Wisdom, Paul's First Letter to the Thessalonians, and Matthew's Gospel.
Join us as we explore the fascinating context of these passages and uncover timeless insights that resonate with 21st-century Catholics.
If you're familiar with the Sunday Missal you may have noticed that sometimes, there's a long and a short version which can be read at mass. Julie went digging to find out why this happens. She discovered it's to do with the GIRM - the General Instruction of the Roman Missal.
Her discovery took her down another internet rabbit hole - why does Paul appear to write his letters without any (or much) punctuation...? Julie talks about that as well - now she understands why he doesn't use many full stops and commas.
Julie wraps up with a lovely event that happened to her after mass at the Cathedral in Hamilton, NZ - all because of this podcast.
Here's the EWTN reference Julie referred to regarding Fr McNamara's 2014 answer to the long/short difference question.
