Yamila H. Harris (https://www.linkedin.com/in/yamilaharris/) is a dynamic global IT executive, board member, public speaker and mentor with 30 years of leadership experience across multiple IT and Business disciplines including Service Delivery, Organizational Change Management (OCM), Workplace Services and End User Experience (UX), Contact Center Technology Services, and Healthcare Innovation. She started her career in Healthcare as a pioneer of early web-based EMR and Managed Healthcare software solutions. She has since spent much of her career leading cross-functional/cross-industry global teams and driving innovation at transformational companies including Dell, HP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Atos. Most recently, Yamila joined the senior IT executive leadership team at Munich Re – one of the world’s leading providers of reinsurance and insurance-related risk solutions. Leveraging their unrivalled expertise in all aspects of risk, Munich Re is redefining the boundaries of insurance and digitally transforming the global insurance landscape to deliver innovative solutions for their clients. Yamila is very passionate about leading organizational change and technology transformation. Most importantly, doing so with an unrelenting focus on end-user and customer experience, developing a culture of innovation, and cultivating and empowering diverse teams. Her leadership, innovation and strong customer focus have earned her numerous accolades throughout the course of her career including most recently being named a HITEC 100 Award winner for the 6th consecutive year, and the honor of being named the HITEC Member of the Year in 2021. She was also a 2020 Great Minds in STEM Luminary Award recipient and 2020 Stetson University Business School Foundation Ted Surynt Leadership Award winner. On a personal note, Yamila is a strong advocate of diversity and inclusion, STEAM, women in technology, and an avid supporter of literacy initiatives. She is a member of the Hispanic IT Executive Council (HITEC) Board of Directors and an active HITEC Emerging Executive Program (EEP) mentor. Yamila is an adjunct lecturer and guest instructor at multiple universities and is often asked to speak on topics including leadership, organizational change management, negotiations, social intelligence, technology and diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) at industry, corporate and university events. Most notably, Yamila is a zealous believer in the 'Art of the Possible' and in the power of continuously challenging the way that we think, learn and grow as leaders and as people.
