You will quickly realize that I like to do two things in many of these podcasts.

• One – use analogies – it always helps me and hopefully it helps you
• Two – reference pop culture stuff

As I record this episode, the world is just hours away from the release of Season 3 of Ted Lasso. Holy smokes, this couldn’t be more of a perfect time and topic. Now remember, this is a WINE podcast first so I will try to be a little heavier on the wine topics but good golly, I love Ted Lasso and this could end up being a 50/50 blend.
This episode is full of Ted Lasso-isms, wine references, and just a lot of good fun. I promise, although there are absolutely Season 3, Episode 1 similarities (I wrote this after recording but ALSO after the first episode of Season 3 of Ted Lasso premiered) it is all coincidental.
I spend some time talking about deduction in wine decisions and tasting, how it is ok to not know everything and rely on others for help. Use your words, not someone else's. I love this approach and it is always found in my Somm for the Day tasting notes.
The lesson is all about taking in the aromas around you. It isn't rocket science, I swear!
