Windfall (2022) on Netflix. A thief (Jason Segel) takes his time breaking into a home with the intent to steal a few things. When the home owners (Lili Collins and Jesse Plemons) unexpectedly arrive, it quickly turns into the most awkward kidnapping where any offer is on the table.
Bad Vegan: Fame. Fraud. Fugitives. (2022) also on Netflix. After marrying a mysterious man who claimed he could make her dog immortal (absolutely absurd!!!) a celebrated vegan restaurateur finds her life veering off the rails, when one of our own Bostonians brainwashes her into giving him a shit ton of money.
DMZ (2022 ) on HBO. A civil war breaks out in a futuristic America and Manhattan becomes a demilitarized zone. After years apart from her son. Alma Ortego (Rosario Dawson) goes on the quest to find her son in DMZ. She quickly learns her ex Parco Delgado (Benjamin Pratt) is the leader of the Spanish Kings, and has trained their son, Skell (Freddy Miyaris) to be an assassin.
Deep Water 2022 on HULU. A well-to-do husband (Ben Affleck) who allows his wife (Ana De Armas) to have affairs, becomes a prime suspect in the disappearance of her lovers. Poor Ben can't catch a break with his movie love interest. This is by far one the most aggravating things Jo has ever watched.
