Dan Brenton has worked in a variety of roles, including campus ministry, pastor, and speaker. But I've known him best in the role of dad for the past 37 years. He shares how the roles of parenting shift in different seasons and how Jesus shows up and fills in the gaps where we are lacking. My dad reminds us that raising kids is all about stewardship and helps us clearly define godly parenting. He offers a fresh look and an encouraging word to fathers, mothers, sons and daughters in all stages of life.

We honor dads everywhere on the week of Father's Day! Whether you've been loved well by yours or not quite felt valued, God knows your story. Family relationships can be among the most rich, the most complex, the most scarring, the most fun, the most difficult. The truth is that we have a Heavenly Father who is not a shadow of our earthly one, but infinitely more and better than all that earthly figure could ever offer us. Our Triune God has eternally existed as Father to the Son. Family has always been in the heart of God.

Proverbs 22:6

Matthew 20:1-16

Luke 15:11-32
