Welcome to When It Goes Wrong, the podcast about disasters, accidents and when things fall apart. On this episode I discuss two mining disasters. The first the catastrophic explosion of Pike River mine in New Zealand which killed 29 men. Then following up with something a bit more cheerful, the rescue of 33 Chilean miners who were stuck underground for months following a mine cave-in.
