Good morning, DC! I'm your weather buddy, bringing you the latest forecast with a side of caffeine and charm.
Today's looking like a wet one, folks! We've got a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms rolling in this afternoon, with temperatures climbing to a mild 58 degrees Fahrenheit. Winds will be playing peek-a-boo, starting light and then picking up to around 11 miles per hour. Grab that umbrella and maybe a raincoat - there's an 80 percent chance you'll need it!
Tonight, the rain party continues with showers and possible thunderstorms before 7 pm, tapering off to just showers until 10 pm. Temperatures will dip down to a cool 43 degrees Fahrenheit, so keep that jacket handy.
New Year's Day is looking like a breath of fresh air - literally! Mostly sunny skies with a high near 49 degrees Fahrenheit. But hold onto your hats, because it's going to be breezy with winds potentially gusting up to 39 miles per hour. Talk about starting the year with some excitement!
The rest of the week looks like a rollercoaster of winter weather. We're talking mostly sunny days, chilly nights, and a potential snow chance by Sunday evening. So, keep those winter layers close and your sense of humor closer!
