Good morning, Atlanta! This is your Weather Wizard with the latest forecast that'll keep you one step ahead of Mother Nature.
Hold onto your umbrellas, folks! Tonight is looking wet and wild with showers and thunderstorms rolling through. Temperatures will hover around a mild 61 degrees, with southeast winds gusting up to 25 miles per hour. Expect between a quarter and half an inch of rainfall, so don't forget your raincoat!
Sunday brings more drama with thunderstorms likely before 10 in the morning. We're looking at a high near 66 degrees, with winds shifting from south to west and continuing to gust up to 25 miles per hour. Another round of precipitation is on the way, so keep those windshield wipers ready.
The good news? Things calm down after Sunday. Monday looks mostly sunny and pleasant with temperatures reaching a comfortable 63 degrees. As we roll into the new year, expect a mix of partly cloudy and sunny days with temperatures cooling down slightly.
New Year's Day will be mostly sunny but chilly, with highs around 53 degrees. Later in the week, we're looking at some crisp, clear days with temperatures ranging from the upper 40s to low 50s.
For those weekend warriors planning outdoor activities, Thursday and Friday look like your best bet with plenty of sunshine and mild temperatures.
