Matt, his wife, and their 4-year-old daughter are frequent visitors to Walt Disney World. For their September trip, Matt attempted the Every Ride Challenge. That consists of riding all 50 operating rides at the time of the challenge while raising money for Give Kids the World. He shares his insights on Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, crowds, weather, Bay Lake Tower vs. Polynesian, and Lightning Lane system revamp. Post trip begins: 52 minutes Matt shared financial information regarding his trip: He used airline miles for their flights. In total, that was paid $30 in taxes for 3 people round trip. Hotel was covered by their DVC points, and the hotel the night before in Philadelphia was covered by a free night they had through the Marriott credit card. Rental car through National was $365 for the 8 days in Orlando. He used a free rental day for their one way trip from Allentown to Philadelphia. They cashed in their Disney Visa points to use for food, which they used for four table service meals and some quick service meals. Total out of pocket spent for the entire trip was less than $800 (almost half of that was the rental car).
