We recently had a chance to interview Ashley Gordon, Publishing Segment Manager for HP PageWide, were we spoke about HP's initiatives to support Ukrainian children through the production of dual-language books. The interview highlighted the humanitarian focus of the project, emphasizing the flexibility of HP's innovative printing technology, which allows for on-demand production tailored to urgent needs. This initiative not only aids children affected by the war in Ukraine but also those resettled across Europe, with over 40,000 books contributed to date. Also addressed were the broader implications of HP's technology for local businesses and the publishing industry, particularly in terms of sustainability and educational impact. Gordon explained how digital printing enables economical production of single copies, reducing waste and supporting customization. She noted the shift back to printed materials in education, as they foster deeper comprehension compared to online learning, which has created gaps during the pandemic.
