Miguel is a Biochemical Engineer with specialisation in Environmental Engineering and a Martial Arts instructor, living in New Zealand. He was born in Quillota, Chile and grew up with his three siblings closely connected with the agriculture. Since his childhood, he has been fascinated with martial arts, mountains and nature. He worked six years in Chile in Climate Change calculating greenhouse emissions and suggesting mitigation measurements for his clients. After that, he started travelling: Argentina, Peru, The Philippines, Malaysia, Morocco, France, and Australia are only a few places in the world where he has been so far. In 2015 he went to New Zealand and met Ben. Since then, they are close friends and training-mates. At the moment he lives in Christchurch, combining his profession and passions. He is working as a Research Assistant in Carbon Measurements at the University of Canterbury, which means, he is measuring and identifying New Zealand native trees and shrubs, and using allometric equations to estimate carbon sequestration rates. In his free time, he teaches privately martial arts. (For more information, visit the shownotes of this episode or our service page. There you can find the link to his YouTube channel and more information about his Barraw Sugbo one-on-one sessions.)

In this interview, Miguel shares his daily routines, how he handles emotions and fasting, among other topics. If you are interested in martial arts, time-restricted eating or how to improve your sleeping habits, listen to this interview. “Listening and learning from each other is key for personal development and success.”

All comments about diet and fasting are no medical advice! Therefore, listeners should always ask their doctor if they want to practice any intervention on their diets.
