It’s Super Bowl week here in Kansas City. This town is fired up for the game and the city is expecting record crowds for a watch party in the downtown entertainment district. Obviously, there are a lot of fans headed to Arizona for the game as well. I wish we could spend this entire episode talking about the game itself. But we can't. Studies show sporting events like the Super Bowl bring in almost half of the $150 billion generated annually in the sex trafficking industry. Texas Governor Greg Abbott described the Super Bowl this way, “The Super Bowl is the greatest show on Earth, but it also has an ugly underbelly." Today’s guest can talk first hand about the fight against that ugly underbelly of sex trafficking. David Bennett has been to the past two Super Bowls working with the EPIK Project – a non-profit organization disrupting the demand that drives sexual exploitation. He talks about his experiences at the Super Bowl, the work we do together for EPIK – and he’s gotta a pretty good marriage redemption story to share as well Be sure to subscribe, rate and share this show!
