Quincy Cloet (PhD student, Aberystwyth University) presents his findings on the last 50 years of European Studies and the subject discipline, UACES. This two-day conference brought together academics, archivists and practitioners to examine the last 50 years of UACES, European Studies, UK-EU relations and their interrelated futures. The 50th Anniversary of UACES as the UK-based association for the study of Europe coincided with the UK's triggering of Article 50. This conference provided a unique opportunity to draw on the Historical Archives of the European Union (HAEU) and showcase the newly-deposited UACES archival materials.
