The one thing that has been consistent in hyper capitalist america over the past… well, forever… is that companies and capital owners will absolutely, positively, without doubt and without hesitation put employees lives on the line to make an extra buck and nobody but the workers themselves have ever been able to put a stop to it.

It was true in 1911, it was true even on 9/11 when multiple companies actually told their employees that they did not have permission to leave the second tower before it got hit even as the first tower burned, and it is true right now, all across the country.

The only cure for this situation is workers banding together to move as one unit and refuse to work in unsafe conditions, for low wages, and even through natural disasters. The power differential has to be addressed.
