Karin Avila knows the speed of a New York minute – she lived and worked in the Big Apple before moving to Spain two years ago where it is commonly said – “A Spaniard never looks at his watch”. The Spanish approach to time, to punctuality, to the siesta and to meal time, being about two hours later than we expect - has ramifications for the unwary traveller. So Graeme Kemlo asked Karin if it was true that she had to adjust from one extreme approach to time to the opposite in her newly adopted home in rural Valencia Spain.
