If you have a family member that you have distanced yourself from for whatever reason and are looking or even just thinking about reaching out to them it's probably worthwhile doing so. There's going to be doubts coming up where you're hesitant because of whatever past issues occurred and you may want to avoid relieving some of those uncomfortable feelings or moments. You might feel that you're not ready for it and know that that's OK. Honestly, we are not fully ready for many of the things that we take on but we do it anyways.
