This week on The Wrestling Stoop w/Bob Roop we begin our 3-Part journey into the year of 1977 and Bob's time as wrestler and booker for the San Francisco territory. We begin Here in Part 1, as Bob talks arriving in San Francisco and becoming booker early on. We take a deep and disturbing look into NWA Promoter Roy Shire, the man. We break down many topics involving Roy, including Shire belittling talent and stealing large sums of money from the houses, Roy's run-in with a biker gang (literally), the time Shire asked Pat Patterson to perjure himself in court, and so much more! Other topics in this episode include how Bob's run in San Fran came about, the matches being so repetitive that even the fans knew the finish going into the bouts, Bob replacing Pat Patterson as booker and forcing Roy Shire to make changes, Al Madril's Ultimatum, Pepper Gomez giving Bob the cold shoulder, & so much more. We think you'll enjoy this very eye-opening episode... AND IT'S JUST PART ONE!!!

***** (DISCLAIMER - We apologize early on in the broadcast for a couple of poor audio segments, Bob was having connection issues which distorted his voice a little on a couple of occasions but quickly fixed itself. This only happens early on in the program and there are no further instances throughout. Please enjoy!)

A former National AAU Champion and U.S. Olympian, Bob doesn’t hold back and opens up about his time in the world of Professional Wrestling.
