Although this conversation is primarily for women… MEN STAY HERE because this may be a very eye opening experience on what women in faith leadership roles face as they serve in their ministry.

Being a woman in the church comes with some typical expectation of your “role” in the church and how you are supposed to serve. You are judged on how you keep your house, you are rated on how good your food is that you bring to the potluck. How you dress, what make up you wear or don’t wear you are open to criticism and judgment.

The sad part… Most of it comes from other women in the church.

Being a female pastor, there is a higher expectation and that opens you to more criticism because not only do you fulfill the role of the wife, mother, friend but you are also the leader of the church and expected to guide the congregation AND be a woman.

Our roles as women leaders in ministry, we have to just take a deep breath and set boundaries with our families, our congregation and those we serve.

This episode is about taking a look at our lives, what pressures are we allowing others to add to our lives and what pressures do we have control over and need to be making adjustments to.
