Lindsey Fleischhauer, an entrepreneur, co-founder of Totes babies and a mother, joins Terry Knight to discuss how Lindsey created a product from scratch, built a business around it and how she is building an empire. Lindsey also talks about how it was like going on shark tank and being on TV!
Lindsey thought of the idea for the Totes Babies Car Seat Carrier when her son was just a baby still in his car seat. Going to the store with him would always make her anxious because she could never get everything she wanted due to the car seat taking up all of the cart space. Lindsey tried baby-wearing and he would cry the whole time. Lindsey just wanted an option where she could have full cart space yet have him in something that is super safe, simple, and adjustable to different carts. When Lindsey thought of the idea she sketched out a really amateur sketch and showed her dad who holds over 40 patents!
