Today we discuss the Emcee/Producer/Educator J. Rawls. His production skills have proven he is one of the premier artists holding the torch of original boom bap sound of hip hop. His first commercial appearance was on "Brown Skinned Lady" on the BlackStar album. Hailing from Columbus, MD and holding his Masters in education he is also a teacher. After a conversation with his son, he decided that many of our youth do not know about real hip hop and put together one of his finest works, "The Hop Hop Effect" which he will discuss on today's show.
