Saad Khalid is a first generation Pakistani Australian, and highly recognized leader in Australia’s multicultural media and ethnic broadcasting sector.

He serves as the Project Director for the 2025 Australian Multicultural Youth Media Summit at the National Ethnic and Multicultural Broadcasters’ Council (NEMBC).

Saad has been recognized as a finalist for 2024 Young Australian of the Year and listed among the 40 most influential Asian Australians under 40 for 2023.

As an award-winning documentary creator and podcaster, Saad started producing content under the National Features and Documentary Series (NFDS) and for the Community Broadcasting Foundation in 2019, with a focus on the forgotten history of migrants in Australia during the 1800s.

Through his various platforms, Saad continues to champion diversity in media, governance, and policy, using his voice to create inclusive spaces for migrant and diaspora communities.
