In the ⁠previous episod⁠⁠e⁠, we spoke about the extreme criticism faced by Madhushala and how Bachchan was threatened to be shot in Patna once. There was another story of the friendship of Sumitranandan Pant and Bachchan. ⁠पिछले अंक⁠ हमने बात की थी कि कैसे मधुशाला को कई बार कटु आलोचना का सामना करना पड़ता था, यहाँ तक कि एक बार तो बच्चन बाबू को गोली मारने की ही धमकी मिल गई थी! और एक कहानी सुनाई थी कवि सुमित्रानंदन पंत जी की ज़ुल्फ़ों की। आज हम चलते हैं कैंब्रिज विश्वविद्यालय की ओर, और बताते हैं कैसे कई बार बच्चन बाबू को कम आयु का विद्यार्थी समझ लिया जाता था! पहले मधुशाला की ये चतुष्पदी -

आज सजीव बना लो, प्रेयसी, अपने अधरों का प्याला, भर लो, भर लो, भर लो इसमें, यौवन मधुरस की हाला,
