Manage episode 324120240 series 3282691
What brought Gandhians and Muslims together in the Constituent Assembly? Prohibition! Really, why does our otherwise liberal Constitution have a provision on prohibition? And on what grounds can the state regulate the private consumption of alcohol? This episode of The Longest Constitution takes a look at the state’s regulation of the trade, sale, and consumption of Liquor and Bhaang.
