Story:
When I was working at Domino’s at one point, I was constantly listening to self-improvement podcasts and I slowly molded into this concept or idea, I was once someone who would stay up late playing games at night possibly even jacking off but now, its different. I still stay up late, but this time its for my good.
Self Improvement is life long, once you’re committed there is no going back because you’re going to realize you could always be doing something better
Self Improvement can be categorized by 1-5 Stages
First Stage: You have no idea what it is besides motivation or discipline being in your vocab
Second Stage: You have an idea of what it is, yet you don’t use it at all only in your 3 am motivation
Third Stage: You finally caught glimpse of what self improvement is and it is the start of the exponential growth, you learn
Fourth Stage: This is where you feel exponential growth, just like in stage 2 you only did it once a month, now you miss a day once a month or even week
Fifth Stage: Lifestyle, the point where when you talk to someone and you see their awful habits you realize like damn is this seriously their life.
One issue I’ve always had when on self improvement would be when I fail at a task or even God forbid i jerk off, I would beat myself up, and really be down for a couple of days thinking im out of self improvement. We have to take account that life really a up trajectory until you zoom out, but days could get rough.
Let me tell you that getting up beat is the best thing you can do, you will always fail but to know what a high is you must know what a low is.
After you reach the Fourth of Fifth Stage after a while, that exponential growth is gone now you will have to switch from Macro tasks to Micro tasks,
Macro would be going to the gym , micro would be stretching before you start in the gym. Just as the gym has newb gains so does self improvement but then it gets hard from there but if you’re dedicated enough thats where it goes good.
