We first met comedian and podcast host Ken Reid when he invited us onto his podcast, the terrific TV GUIDANCE COUNSELOR.

In addition to being a big “TALES FROM THE CRYPT” fan, Ted is a BOSTON-BASED STAND UP and a fantastic STORYTELLER.

His approach to comedy is via story rather than jokes. That, I suspect, is where our minds all come together.

Ken also has a great sense of the absurd! That also is where our minds come together.

Gil and I have done a fair number of podcasts… we talk to people every week on our podcast – same as Ken. But… I don’t know – when we first sat down and talked to Ken on his podcast? Something sparked.

We really liked talking to Ken.

So, it was natural to return the favor and have Ken on our podcast.

But, wouldn’t ya know it – that same spark showed up again! What can I tell ya? We just love talking to this guy – and the conversation feels like it.

In this one, we talk a lot about comedy. Ken was deeply inspired by punk rock (and bands like The Damned), filmmaker JOHN WATERS and shows like THE YOUNG ONES. We’ll also discuss what makes things funny, how to convey funny, how to be funny.

And what does it even mean to even have “a sense of humor”?

Does everyone have one? The answer may not be “yes”…

As you’ll see – with plenty of laughs along the way – being funny is some serious shit.

And Ken Reid is a stand up guy in every way there is!

Quick Note – we talk about a great story Ken tells about he and his dad finding an elderly neighbor dead in his house. Now you know where to find it!
