Heavily-Favored Las Vegas Stunned As NHL Considers ALL-CANADA Hub Cities for Stanley Cup Playoffs

Las Vegas was expected to be one of the two hub cities before some MGM labor concerns were raised last Monday which caused the NHL to say “Hey - fuhgeddaboudit!” The potential of a lawsuit against the NHL was too much to risk. Listen now to Brian’s breakdown of what actually happened in Las Vegas, where he resides. His contacts with Golden Knights and NHL brass help connect the dots. It’s a sad reminder about the old Las Vegas adage that there are no locks!

Meanwhile Vegas’ loss is Canada’s gain. Edmonton and Toronto offer a lot less drama and a lot less COVID. All of which means less hassles for the owners. The cut that the players will get is miniscule and will save expenses as well. July 30th looks like puck drop date. Brian and Cam discuss the implications of what to expect going forward.

We’d like to thank BetCris Canada for their support of The Hockey Betting Podcast. Make sure to listen to The Hockey Betting Podcast as Brian and Cam keep you informed and entertained while we wait for play to resume in the NHL.
