The Dallas Mavericks started game 2 with more focus and a Luka midrange jumper. Kyrie had 8 first quarter points, and PJ Washington was more involved as well, for a 13-6 lead, time out Boston. Once the Celtics regrouped they began to right the ship and they were on their way to another sold first quarter. Kristaps Porzingis scored 8 points in the first and intimidated on defense. Jason Tatum was driving and dishing and Jrue Holiday was cutting and swishing. Jason Tatum was one rebound short of a triple double, 18 points, 9 rebounds and a healthy 12 assists. The Celtics struggled from three point range or we would have seen another 18 point win. Both teams had trouble from beyond the arc, Kyrie was silent after the strong first quarter. Boston relied on their defensive pressure to stay in command in the second half. Luka Doncic had a triple double but his teammates were not a threat to score.
