So far this year the Spartans are 0-2 on the road with the strange phenomenon of good offense but poor defense. That is the opposite of what you usually see for road teams.

However, despite Illinois' early success this season they are dealing with the loss of their star player, Terrence Shannon, Jr., who was suspended after charges of rape in Lawrence, KS were brought up against him a few weeks ago. Likely, he will be out for the season and so the Illini will have to continue without their most dynamic player. Can MSU exploit the loss of Shannon?
