Parashat B’Shalach

Let's talk food! More specifically, Mon (Mana) - the divine bread that fell from the sky

As children we may have envisioned Mon (Mana) to be this magical food that rained down on the jewish people when they were wandering in the desert and that it was the most fantastic thing ever! And maybe it was. But it didn't last. The people complain! Why?

Don't we all dream of food falling from the sky? Ideal? Scary? There is something about this food that doesn't sit well with the wandering and newly forming Jewish people.

Food is something we all relate to because we all need it. Our attitudes towards it may vary, but there is something basic that we all share, even with the Jews walking in the desert centuries earlier.

Let's talk about it!
