As the administrative burden on physicians and nurses continues to mount, Hawaii Pacific Health’s EVP and Chief Quality Officer Dr. Melinda Ashton decided that it was time for a change. With the implementation of a program designed to eliminate unnecessary administrative work, Hawaii Pacific Health has created a culture of empowered health professionals. In this episode we had the chance to discuss how this got started, where it’s all headed why the electronic health record is not responsible for all of medicine’s ills.
