As Director of Global Portfolio, Joshua Rosenthal As a Director of Training at TalentSmart, Josh offers over 15 years of experience in emotional intelligence, leadership development, facilitation, diversity and inclusion, cultural competency and sensitivity, conflict resolution, and group collaboration for organizational effectiveness. He has worked with organizations across a wide range of industries to drive strategic learning initiatives.

In addition to his role as a Director of Training, Josh is also a facilitator of all TalentSmart’s training programs, and is he master certified to facilitate TalentSmart’s Mastering Emotional Intelligence Train-the-Trainer program.

Through Josh’s facilitation, he guides learners to sharpen their communication skills, enhance collaboration, improve results, resolve conflict, and exercise effective, ethical, and sustainable leadership. He inspires insight through raising clients’ self-awareness and social awareness, and he drives results by creating a safe, and interactive learning environment.

Josh received his PhD ABD in Sociology from the New School for Social Research, his MS in Culture & Society from the London School of Economics & Political Science, and his BA in Communication Studies & Journalism from the University of Iowa.

In Episode 14, Joshua Rosenthal, shares his overarching expertise on a number of EQ topics and its ability to service as a performance enhancer not just in the workplace, but in all aspects of life. Specifically the episode focuses on:

  1. Using EQ to identify emotions to manage stress and avoid burnout
  2. Strategies we can all implement to enhance our EQ that are simple, but may be difficult to implement
  3. How high EQ individuals can be overwhelmed by taking on too much of the emotion of others
