Haley Johnsen is here! You may know her from American Idol, or from her opening slot touring with The Wind and The Wave, a career highlight for sure. Reading The Artist’s Way, and her psychologically manipulative experience on American Idol gave her the confidence to pursue a career in music on her own. Following the show, Haley locked herself away in her parents shed to work on her songwriting craft, and started playing local shows around Portland. We dive into Haley’s process as an independent artist for songwriting, choosing a producer, recording her latest album and more!
