In this episode we speak with David Cuthbert. David’s career is personally an inspiration to me, as he has excelled across a variety of chapters in his life and built an amazing and diverse career. He began his career in special operations for the navy, leading land and underwater explosive disposal teams. I’ll tell you one thing, that’s a lot cooler than anything I’ve ever done. But he didn’t stop there, because after his time in the military David worked his way up to become the CEO of a very successful cloud services provider. These two roles alone would represent a lifetime of success for anyone, but it’s after this that I met David and was inspired by his pivot to more socially conscious roles. His first foray into this world was becoming the CEO of Wine to Water, a non/profit that is very close to my heart and helps people access clean water across the globe. After 5 years in that role, David shifted again to become the CEO of Mananalu, a social enterprise and provider of still and flavored water in infinitely recyclable aluminum cans. Their purpose is to rid the world of single-use plastic drinking bottles and drive us all to a better and more sustainable future. Its founder is Jason Mamoa, you may know him as Aquaman!

David’s story proves that you can build a successful career and make the world a better place, you don’t need to sacrifice one for the other. David’s the man so if you’re interested in a diverse career, special ops, non-profits, social enterprises, or just flat out great people this episode is for you. That means it’s for everyone, you’ll all enjoy! Give it a listen.
