Henry Akins has been training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for over 20 years. He is a black belt under the legendary Rickson Gracie and taught at Rickson's school for 10 years. He currently teaches the art full time at Dynamix MMA in Santa Monica, California where he has been since 2011. He is also the founder of Hidden Jiu Jitsu which is his take on Rickson's BJJ concepts. Topics include: • His path to becoming a full time BJJ instructor including his experiences training with Rickson Gracie. • The original intention of Jiu Jitsu as a complete martial art instead of a sport. • His natural mindset to live a free life and the conflicts with his upbringing.
