Today's guest is who I would call the Michael Jordan of functional dentistry. His unique insights into sleep, oral health, and health overall have drastically changed my life as well as hundreds of thousands of other people's lives. Welcome to the show, Dr. Mark Burhenne!

Mark is unique in his approach to dentistry because unlike most dentists, he doesn't want patients to have to come back repeatedly to his chair. He instead takes a preventative approach. He joins me to discuss his interest in sleep as a dentist; how he came across mouth-taping (which I did a podcast episode about!); why he believes that dentists and physicians should be working together more often; his takes on using mouthwash, black seed oil pulling, and fluoride.

He also answers a series of rapid-fire questions sent in by listeners, including but not limited to whether or not mercury fillings are dangerous, if gum recession can be reversed, what his thoughts are on pulling wisdom teeth, and so much more! A functional dentist won't shame you for cavities and whatnot; they will educate you, and that's what Mark does!

I am so grateful for Mark's time. I learned so much from this conversation and hope that you do too! If you aren't subscribed to the show already, please be sure to subscribe on your favorite podcast app! I would also really appreciate it if you would share the podcast with at least one other person you know who might also enjoy it and if you would leave me a five-star review! That really helps the show out!
