Brooke’s interest is in sports nutrition and separately type 2 diabetes. We discuss her career history from masters of dietetics at Griffith through to PhD at La Trobe, a research only position at ACU, back to La Trobe, and now as a lecturer at UQ. Brooke’s PhD was on sports nutrition in a team environment but showed the importance of applied interventions to individuals need e.g. caffeine intake and genetic snips. Brooke is now investigating the importance of the ‘what’ when it comes to peoples food intake who are using intermittent fasting to manage their diabetes, the use of continuous glucose monitors, and the difference between time restricted eating advice and standard dietetic practice.
