TMI, aka “too much information,” is when those around you feel you’re a little too real. You’re a little too open. You’re a little too authentic.
In a time where our culture encourages more and more authenticity in every sphere we walk, we’re seeing tension at best and backlash at worst for those who are being authentic but not being received well by those around them.
Is it a case of insensitivity from an immature group that demands similarity? Or is it the case of TMI from the one who demands their authenticity?
