In 2024, the housing market in Whatcom County experienced a year that continued to challenge both buyers and sellers. Home sales remained slower than historical averages, and affordability continued to be a pressing concern for many. Despite these obstacles, and even with the added complexity of it being an election year, Whatcom County saw a modest 1% increase in home sales, while home values rose by 5%.
