And so it begins...cake week starts off another year in the Bake Off tent as 12 new hopefuls don their aprons and whip up three new challenges for Paul, Prue, Noel and new host Alison. We had split buttercream, lopsided cake and runny ganache, as all the bakers tried to hold their nerve in Bake Off's 14th series.
