- In this episode, we once again fly halfway around the world, to Iraq, in an attempt to bring you a conclusion to the "Hatchet Man" story. Unfortunately, the story of Abu Tubar, or "The Hatchet Man", is riddled with inaccuracies and conspiracy theory, with some truth peppered in for good measure. Couple that with the fear and paranoia the people of Baghdad were suffering during Abu Tubar's reign, along with intense political turmoil, the brutal secret police, and censored information, it's nearly impossible to wrap this story up with a neat little bow and say, "This is what it is". Still, the story of Abu Tubar is a fascinating look at just how far a regime will go to subjugate a population and eliminate nonconformists. Maybe.
